[..] so far so good -- I received this item a couple of weeks ago and ran already twice or three times with it. No issues, I actually feel the knee and IT band are well supported by the pressure it makes. My 1st impression was that the item was low quality, but actually the material needs to more flexible than, for example, jumper's knees bands (patellar) because this way it can be fixed over the knee. Perhaps my only complain is that the compression area could be bigger, it's just a small square and kind of soft. On the bright side is the little manual that comes enclosed, it has some explanation on the problem and suggestions for stretching exercises. [..] -- customer review

[..] Relieved the pain! -- I began training for a half-marathon about a month ago. The outside of my knee began causing so much pain that I was discouraged I wouldn't be able to run. After limping around for many days and doing some research, I concluded I was suffering from IT Band Syndrome. I also researched several different brands of IT Band wraps and found the reviews for the ProTec to be the best.

I just bought mine last Friday from Luke's Locker. The next morning I ran six miles almost completely pain free!! It was amazing, and the band stayed in place and never slipped down. My knee still hurt when I walked after my run and for most of the day, so I still iced it and did all of my "ITB stretches" immediately after, but now I have hope that I CAN keep running and not have to suffer!
